Goals and Purposes

for

United Youth Groups

The young people bond themselves together in friendship with others of their own age and interests in United Youth Groups, meeting and working together in a fraternal spriit to promote:

1.   Personal growth.
2.   The submergence of self-interest for common good.
3.   Respect for the good name of the individual.
4.   Family unity.
5.   Good citizenship.
6.   The disciplinary value of conducting meetings in an orderly and democratic manner.
7.   Accomplish hopes to attaining goals.

As they carry out their meetings, plans and activities they will:

8. Enjoy each others company.
9. Get training in the art of democratic living and the “give and take” of getting along together.
10. Play games, have fun, go places and do things.
11. Learn to accept and carry out responsibilities and to perform their duties faithfully, cheerfully and patiently.
12. Learn about the world in which they live and how they can best take their part in it.
13. Learn to express themselves while gaining social standing and self-confidence.
14. Through satisfactory participation in their Group will be stimulated, upon proper age, to join an Odd Fellow or Rebekah Lodge.
